Do I need a packed lunch?

Yes, bring with you a healthy packed lunch, snack and drink (water bottle).

Does my child have to wear shin pads?

Yes, It is compulsory for all children to wear shin pads during one of our football courses.

Appropriate Age – OFSTED states that NO child of nursery age or younger should attend a full day’s sports camp. Exceptions may be made to families requesting half days, however please do not book a full day place allocated to Reception to  year 7 children.. Contact info@sports-future.com
Parking – Free Parking at Marlborough Academy in the bays provided. Please follow the signs to the Sports Hall whilst on foot and keep to the left of the main school building next to  the field. Please be mindful of any building work. For St Catherines please drive up to the schools main gates and park in any space. Drop off is at the front of the school.
Drop Off/ Pick Up – Drop off is anytime from 08:30 to 9:00 and pick up time is 15:30. Each day we have an awards presentation from 15:20 to 15:30
Equipment  / Clothing – Trainers and tracksuit are fine, moulded Football boots (optional), no metal studs. and shin pads (especially the older children 6-8yrs), water bottle and packed lunch. Multi Sport Children need trainers and do not require shin pads.

SpectatorsWe encourage the children to be independent but happy for parents to stay for a while if your child is unsettled or a bit nervy. Parents can spectate in the afternoon anytime after 14:45.
ToiletsBoys and Girls toilets are available and younger children will be put into pairs when walking to the toilet. A head Coach will supervise children to and from the field whilst not with their coach.
CoachesAll Coaches hold an enhanced DBS, child protection certificate and are qualified in the sports they deliver. Coach to child ratio of 16:1 or below.

Development Football

Do I need to supply shin pads?

It is compulsory for all children to wear shin pads during one of our football courses. Shin pads can be purchased from us by ticking the appropriate box when booking onto one of our courses. A child that does not wear shin-pads may be refused the right to play.

It is the parents responsibility to ensure appropriate clothing is worn and/or available for their child for the activity provided and weather conditions.

Do I need to inform you if my child has a medical condition?

When filling out our booking form, please attach any information in the order notes regarding your child’s medical condition that we should know about.

How can I make payment?

Payments can be made by major credit/ debit cards.

What is your refund policy?

Code of Conduct 

YOUNG PLAYERS 

WHEN PLAYING FOOTBALL I WILL: 

 • Always play to the best of my ability and for the benefit of my team 

 • Play fairly – I won’t cheat, dive, complain or waste time 

 • Respect my team-mates, the other team, the referee or my coach

 • Play by the rules, as directed by the referee / coach

 • Be gracious in victory and defeat – I will shake hands with the other team and referee at the end of the game 

 • Listen and respond to what my coach tells me 

 • Understand that a coach has to do what is best for the team and not one individual player 

 • Talk to someone I trust or the club welfare officer if I’m unhappy about anything at my club. 

I understand that if I do not follow the code, any/all of the following actions may be taken by my Football’s Future and the school

I MAY: 

 • Be required to apologise to my team-mates, the other team, referee or coach

 • Receive a formal warning from the coach

 • Be asked to miss a session to reflect 

 • Be required to leave the club. 

COACHES

ON AND OFF THE FIELD, I WILL: 

 • Use my position to set a positive example for the young people I am responsible for 

 • Show respect to others involved in the game including match officials, opposition players, coaches, managers,  spectators and fellow coaches

 • Adhere to the laws and spirit of the game 

 • Promote Fair Play and high standards of behaviour 

 • Respect the match official’s decision 

 • Never enter the field of play without the referee’s permission 

 • Never engage in, or tolerate, offensive, insulting or abusive language or behaviour 

 • Be gracious in victory and defeat.

WHEN WORKING WITH PLAYERS, I WILL: 

 • Place the well-being, safety and enjoyment of each player above everything, including winning 

 • Never engage in or tolerate any form of bullying 

 • Encourage each player to accept responsibility for their own behaviour and performance 

 • Ensure all activities I organise are appropriate for the players’ ability level, age and maturity 

 • Co-operate fully with others in football (e.g. officials, doctors, physiotherapists, welfare officers, school staff) for each player’s best interests.
